Pauline moved to Henley over five years ago with her civil partner. Pauline is now semi-
retired after a forty-year career in the international software industry. Before living in
Henley, she lived for over twenty-five years in a Buckinghamshire Village, Fulmer, where she
was a Parish Councillor and eventually Chairman of the Parish Council. She still uses these
years of experience working as the part time Parish Clerk and a Trustee of the charity which
manages the recreation facilities, King George’s Fields (Fulmer).
Pauline has also had a lifelong passion for aviation, which started by gliding, followed by
conversion to a Private Pilots Licence in 1987; the rights and privileges of which she still
exercises today, flying out of her Club at White Waltham, Maidenhead, where she owns a
fractional share in a small light aircraft. Following her love of flying she has been Chairman of
the British Women Pilots’ Association, Chairman of the Board of the Aircraft Owners’ and
Pilots’ Association (UK) (an organisation lobbying at national and European government
level), is still a member of the All-Party Parliamentary Group for General Aviation, sat on the
Lord Kirkhope Inquiry into the Modernisation of Lower Airspace in the UK, is a Liveryman of
the Honourable Company of Air Pilots, worked as CEO of the charity The Air League and is a
currently Trustee of the charity Airspace for All. She has spoken publicly about General
Aviation on BBC local radio, Radio 4, and BBC television.
Since moving to Henley, she’s become a member of Phyllis Court and is on the Aviators Circle
committee as well as that of the Thames Fine Dining group. Finally, Pauline takes a keen
interest in local community matters.
